The successful applicant will join a team of experienced, creative and hardworking designers.

The Role

The position is full time and responsible for managing the design and product development process for all neckwear, jewellery and haberdashery including packaging within these categories.

We are looking for a well-rounded creative individual with a strong technical textile background, a developed sense of creativity and style with a keen eye for detail and colour combined with honed communication skills and a team approach.

Here are some of the necessary trade skills and personal attributes we’ll be looking for:

  • A Tertiary qualification in textile design

  • A proficiency utilising the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Indesign & Photoshop)

  • The ability to interpret a creative brief, to ask the questions that will enable the creation and development of the desired product factoring in all information provided.

  • Relationship and Negotiation Skills - Previous experience working with and instructing overseas suppliers so as to be able to navigate and negotiate delivery and costing challenges.

  • A developed attention to detail - The ability to responsibly and accurately create Factory Specification forms and artworks including commercial labelling and packaging

  • Strong time management skills and task prioritisation skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.

  • An End Customer Focus - The ability to develop innovative merchandising and presentation solutions ( working in conjunction with business graphic designer )

  • Product Displays and Wholesale Sales Showroom Expertise - You will be supporting the showroom set up and execution for your categories.

  • To be “a big picture thinker” – The ability to contribute to broader team and business objectives.

  • Valid Passport - Overseas travel may be required from time to time therefore an ability to travel internationally is a must.
